(RE)THINKING TEACHER SUPPORT & STUDENT ENGEGME

 

OBJECTIVE

This was a five week project that took place in an experience design course, which explored the theme of education. I conducted research in collaboration with two other designer to explore how technology could be used to help support primary and secondary teachers increase student engagement.

OUTCOME

I created a web based prototype for k-12 grade teachers that makes it easy to discover and incorporated inspiring stores into everyday lesson plans.

 

Role: UX Designer, in collaboration with two design researchers 

Timeline: 5 week project

After getting a sense of the user flow I sketched out and created wireframes to better understand the content and how it could behave.

USER NEED

New users want the ability to see stories and related educational material with a broad spectrum of subjects to become inspired. 

RESPONSE 

The new user can scroll through various subjects that have associated topics and learning material. There are also related story links on the side that allow the user to explore other stories.

 

PERSONALIZE

USER NEED

The user wants to be able to find content thats specific to their own personal teaching requirements. 

RESPONSE

The user can personalize their account by adding what and where they teach along with interests to make content targeted.

 

PURCHASE

USER NEED

The user wants to be abel to easily review the product and purchase it.

RESPONSE

The user can see reviews, preview the content, and easily add it to there bag.
